12 Nov Hollandaise Sauce
This has literally been my FAVORITE recipe since I can remember. Hollandaise sauce gives me all the feels and it’s SO easy to make! Put everything in a blender and GO! I usually will toast a GF slice of bread (my favorite is Canyon Bakehouse), heat up some uncured organic ham slices, and make an egg over easy (pasture-raised, of course!)
Quality MATTERS! Something that I do love about hollandaise sauce is that my kids love it and it’s made with egg yolks, something that my kids usually say “yack” about. Egg yolks are what holds most of the micronutrients in the egg, which includes choline, vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin B6, calcium, potassium, and healthy fats + proteins!
Do NOT worry about cholesterol in eggs. Most of the cholesterol production in our body is made via our liver, NOT influenced by our diet like we assumed back in the 1980’s.
- 3 Egg Yolks Separate from the white
- 8 Tbsp Butter Grass-Fed
- 2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1 Tbsp Coconut Milk
- Salt + Pepper To Taste
- 1 Dash Cayenne Pepper
- Put all of the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth!
- Enjoy! Top it on veggies, eggs, toast, etc. Makes a delicious eggs benedict!
